The NCLA Boosters invites all student athletes and their families to the annual awards ceremony and banquet. It is time again to honor the accomplishments of our student athletes at The NCLA. As well as recognize and celebrate their dedication to the extracurricular sports in which they participate.
Logistic details
Who: Any and all student-athletes grades 6 through 11 and their families.
What: Sports Banquet
Where: The NCLA Gym, 4353 High Point Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284
When: Friday, May 13th, 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Food details
Food:  For accurate numbers for food, please register by Friday, May 6th, click here to register.Provided by Libby Hill, buffet style (chicken, fish, hushpuppies, fries, coleslaw, drinks, and dessert)
Cost of Food: $9.00 dollars a head, food is optional, you do not need to buy food to attend.
How to Pay: At event, cash or check (if check make checks payable to The NCLA Boosters).
Description of awards to be given out per team.
  • Most Outstanding Player - the athlete who contributes the most to the total success of the whole team.
  • Most Improved Player - the athlete who makes the greatest strides progressing as a player in his/her sport.
  • Coach's Award - The athlete in his/her sport, who through leadership contributes significantly to the coach and team.
These awards are presented to one male and female athlete for both High School and Middle School.
  • Athlete of the Year Award - An athlete who displays leadership, athletic accomplishment, team unity, total commitment to the school and athletic program.
  • Scholar Athlete of the Year - Given to the student who excels on the court/field and the classroom. The preference is to go to a student who excels in multiple sports, but it is not a requirement.
  • Coach's Award for the Year - The athlete in his/her sport, who through leadership and example, contributes significantly to the coach and team.

  4. Awards Ceremony: 5:30 PM to 5:35 PM
    1. MS Girls Basketball -- Hathaway 5:30 PM to 5:35 PM
    2. Wrestling -- Dave Nicoletta and Steve Maschi -- 5:35 PM to 5:45 PM
    3. Volleyball -- Ms. Lohr, Mr. Gilpin, Mr. Smith -- 5:45 PM to 5:55 PM.
    4. Soccer -- Mr. Guldberg and Ms. Teves -- 5:55 PM to 6:10 PM
    5. Cross Country -- Mrs. Zaidi -- 6:10 PM to 6:20 PM
    6. Cheer -- Mr. Lake  -- 6:20 PM to 6:30 PM
    7. Basketball -- Mr. Lebrecht , Mr. Bay -- 6:30 PM to 6:45 PM
    8. Track -- Mr. Bay, Mrs. White -- 6:45 PM to 7:00 PM
