The NCLA Athletic Spectator Expectations:
Remember that you are at a contest to support and yell for your team and to enjoy the skill and competition; not to intimidate or ridicule the other team, its fans, or the officials.

Remember that school athletics are learning experiences for students and they may make mistakes. Praise student-athletes in their attempt to improve themselves as students, as athletes and as people as you would praise a student working in the classroom.

A ticket is a privilege to observe the contest, not a license to verbally assault others and be generally obnoxious.

Learn the rules of the game, so that you may understand and appreciate why certain situations take place.

Show respect for the opposing players, coaches, spectators and support groups. Treat them as you would treat a guest in your own home.

Respect the integrity and judgment of game officials. Understand that they are doing their best to help promote the student/athlete, and admire their willingness to participate in full view of the public.

Recognize and show appreciation for an outstanding play by either team.

Refrain from the use of any controlled substances (alcohol, drugs, etc.) before, and during games, and afterwards on or near the site of the event (i.e., tailgating.)

Use only those cheers that support and uplift the teams involved.

Recognize and compliment the efforts of school and league administrators for their efforts in emphasizing the benefits of educational athletics and the rule of good SPORTING BEHAVIOR to that end.

Be a positive role model through your own actions and by censuring those around you at events whose behavior is unbecoming.

PTO Skate Night-Cancelled for this Evening

Message to share from PTO:

With the closure of county schools, bad secondary roads and cancellation of extra-curricular activities the PTO will not have the scheduled skate night this evening.  We know some of our families close by are looking for an opportunity to get out, so you are welcome to go if you are comfortable with roads in your area.  Skate World is still open at this time and you can still say NCLA when you pay to earn us credit.
To make up for this event, we are sponsoring a dress down day next Friday, February 5th.  For $1 you can wear your casual attire to school.  More details and guidelines will be sent out later this week.
We hope everyone has enjoyed the snow and continues to be safe on the roads as the snow melts and temperatures dip in the evenings and mornings.

The deadline to sign-up is this coming Monday, January 19, 2016 at 5:00 PM. Also, it has been extremely difficult to find fields that meet our leagues requirements. Thus, before I ask the other schools if we can just travel to them for all our games, I need hard commitments. Currently we have 10 for softball and 14 for baseball.
