The NCLA Boosters need your help!

The NCLA Boosters are taking a giant step! On Monday, January 4, 2016 at 5:30 PM in the Conference Room we will be adopting our own bylaws and voting on our first board!

Never been to a Boosters meeting...No problem, you're always welcome!
Don't know how you could possibly help...No problem, there is something for everyone!
You want to server on the board...Awesome, contact Beth Polomski at bethpolomski@yahoo.com and we will hep you find your way!

To be a voting member the cost to join The NCLA Boosters is $5.00 dollars. If you made a donation to Boosters you are already a voting member!

So please come see what The NCLA Boosters are all about and help guide the future of The NCLA athletics program.

Driver's Education information and sign-up


We have heard back for the Driver's Education people, thank you for your patience. Good news, The
NCLA has been approved as a site to offer Driver's Education. The next steps are as follows.


  1. First, you need to make sure that your student will be at least 14.5 years old as of January 4th, 2015. If your student is not 14.5 years old they cannot participate. Thus, if your student's birthday occurs after July 4, 2001 they cannot participate. 
  2. Second, make sure your student can attend all sessions. The sessions times and dates are as follows: The first session is on Monday, January, 4 and will start at 8:00 AM and last until 2:00 PM. All other classes will run M-F from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The last class will be on Thursday, January 14, ending at 6:30 PM. The classroom these classes will be offered is in Mrs. Chaffin's Room, in The Falcon's Nest (modular building). 
  3. Third, fill out this Google form by Sunday, December 20, 2015. 
  4. Fourth, write a check payable to The NCLA for $55.00 dollars and submit it to Mr. Lake on January 4, at 8:00 AM during the first class. Payment cannot be in cash, payment must be made via check. If a check is not given your student will be dismissed from class. 
  5. Fifth, Happy Holidays!

Spirit Week Wear 12/14 -12/18


  1. Monday (12/14): Crazy Socks Day and Crazy Hat/Hair Day. Uniform tops (polos) and uniform bottoms (Khaki short/pant/skirt ie normal bottoms) are required.
  2. Tuesday (12/15): NCLA Spirit Wear and Jeans. The NCLA Spirit wear is defined as any shirt with The NCLA on it. Examples included but are not limited to, Hero Run shirts, sport or club specific shirts or PE uniform shirts and bottoms, follow the leader, etc). (These do NOT have to be Uniform Tops and/or Bottoms).
  3. Wednesday (12/16): K-4 Student will wear Holiday Wear. 5-11 grade students - Tacky (Ugly) Holiday Wear (These do NOT have to be Uniform Tops and/or Bottoms).
  4. Thursday (12/17): Twin Day. Dress like your favorite twin day (tops and/or bottoms). (These do NOT have to be Uniform Tops and/or Bottoms).
  5. Friday (12/18): K-4 students - Pajama Day (normal outside shoes MUST be worn, (tops and/or bottoms). Grades 5 - 11 Star Wars Day or other Character Day. (These do NOT have to be Uniform Tops and/or Bottoms).

Engineering and Construction Summer Camps

The Society of American Military Engineers, in collaboration with the Military Services, offers a series of engineering/STEM camps designed for High School students who excel in math, science and technology courses and are interested in pursuing engineering, architecture, or a related field in college.  These one-week camps are high energy, hands-on events for students from across the country and around the world.  The camps are led by professional staff of engineers from both private industry and the uniformed military services.  For more information, click here.

Meredith College Leadership Conference for High School Women!
Saturday, January 30, 2016, Meredith College will offer its annual women's leadership development conference for high school juniors.
