Summer Ventures in Science and Math

Attention 10th graders.  Do you LOVE math?  Do you LOVE science?  


Summer Ventures in Science and Math is a cost-free, statewide, program of the UNC system, that takes students beyond the traditional boundaries of high school science and math.  Check out the website for more information.  Application deadline is January 31st.

First Lego League (FLL) at NCLA

FIRST Lego League (FLL) challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers.  During the upcoming FLL season, teams of 4th through 8th grade students will build, program and test an autonomous robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS® to solve a set of missions in the Robot Game.  They will also choose and solve a real-world question in the Project.  Throughout their experience, teams will

School Construction Process Update

I just wanted to let everyone know that tremendous progress has been made on the new building over the past two weeks.  Know that it is really moving fast now.  The K-5 wing is rapidly getting under a roof and the MS/HS wing will be going up shortly.  Much is happening!!!!!

The NCLA Breaks Ground on New 40 Acre Campus Site!

On January 22nd, The NCLA family, which includes students, families, staff and board members, broke ground on the new 40 acre campus site, located at 4345 High Point Road, Kernersville. Activity is already underway to transform this former farm into one of the top 21st century educational centers in our State and Nation.
